Market Access Specialist (m/w/d)

Team Member, working to understand the market access situation in all intended markets for HMNC Brain Health compounds, and to actively engage with key market access bodies. US and EU perspective would be ideal. This role will be in the interface between clinical and business functions and could be based on either side.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of Health Economics tools in the North American/European markets
  • Development of a Corporate Health Economics function
  • Establishment and expansion of a sustainable network to relevant stakeholders in healthcare, clinics, KOLs (including health policy) and GPOs
  • Understanding of the changing landscape of market access, especially in the US and European markets
  • Bring innovative commercial ideas to this rapidly changing market environment
  • Ensure regional and country pricing and access strategies are of high quality and appropriate for each country
  • Ensure that a deep understanding of payer needs, decision making approaches and strategies, and reimbursement stakeholders and their ability to influence is developed at the country level
  • Based on insights, develop a pricing and access strategy that includes additional evidence needs, a value proposition beyond the drug, managed entry schemes and other arrangements to ensure mutual benefit, and a pricing strategy
  • In collaboration with Management, lead and take responsibility for local pricing and reimbursement processes in each market
  • Support the development of health economic and outcome analyses required for access
  • Proactively identify evidence requirements for successful market access and assist in the development of program-specific evidence generation plans
  • Ensure patient-specific evidence is collected and communicated as needed
  • Develop compliant communication tools that can be used in discussions with payers

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in pharmacy, biomedical sciences, health economics, medicine, public health, health policy, epidemiology or any other related sciences is required
  • 10+ years’ experience in market access strategy with a consulting company or pharmaceutical company
  • Documented track record in the design and implementation of HTA and market access strategy projects
  • Experience of working and contributing within a matrix organization, including global and national MA teams
  • Knowledge of, and ideally experience from, market access process for companion diagnostics
  • Business/marketing or sales experience and the ability to link this insight to funding and reimbursement in-market
  • Experience of leading expert delivery teams, which may be local or globally based
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Experience and proven success working with cross-functional teams across geographies
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple activities (both "self" and through delegation) and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to question the status quo
  • Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills that include the ability to prepare and present summaries of complex materials
  • A demonstrated capability to be proactive, responsive, and able to balance shifting priorities to ensure that promises are kept, and expectations are exceeded
  • Eagerness to share knowledge
  • Innovative, flexible and self-starter
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Keen on working in an international context
